WORTH WAY MORE THEN A THOUSAND WORDS . . .

No waaaaaay! Yup, USD graduate. Somehow I convinced them

5 hours before my super swan dive

2 hours before the neck tweaking. Go figure I break my neck by jumping off a pontoon boat 2 feet over the water.

So haired in the hospital!

Paralyzed from neck down with no feeling or movement. Sweet! Look how fired up Jess and I look.

I keep a copy of my favorite poem footprints in my wallet. The backdrop was SUPPOSED to be at the beach. My snowball’s chance had different scenery.

This is just a small section of an entire hospital wall covered in cards with prayers from family and friends. You have all been my saving grace, my motivation, my salvation.

To lighten the mood my brothers thought they’d carve this little number into their hair. My Mom didn’t exactly see the humor in it and slapped them both in the chops.

The super money rally crew. Both mom’s and dad’s.

Finding ways to keep it interesting in the hospital.

I was in the damn hospital for 4 months. 2 staph infections, 2 bouts with pneumonia, a collapsed lung, an air born virus that quarantined my room, bowel programs, a pic line, an iv, a feeding tube, an NG tube, multiple MRI’S, PET scans and X-Ray’s, indwelling catheters, a super pubic catheter, sip and puff wheelchair, standing frames, air ambulances, countless blood drawls and injections, bladder infections, pressure sores, ab binders, ted hose, two major spinal surgeries, hundreds of medications and pain killers. Oh yeah, and a broken neck.

Started therapy 2 weeks after getting out of the hospital and haven’t stopped since. Notice the sip and puff wheel chair.

Workin it with Jerry at Project walk. I did therapy at this gym in San Diego 3 days a week, 3 hours a day for the first 2 years.

Straight OG gangster till the end. Rest in peace Papa (aka Speed).

At first I had trouble seeing what was right in front of me, but she was there . . .

This kook moves to Ohio for paramedic school and starts sending me pics like this. Our family is weird but this brings it to a whole new level. I’m worried.

This is Jason Dussan, Danny’s better half. For the longest time they shared a brain and he maintained the better majority of it. Now they have separated and live totally independent lives. I’ll be there for you Jason no matter what, no matter where, for any reason. Your my guy homes!
